Product information

This toothbrush is for stage 2 of babies oral hygiene routine and should be used from approximately 1-3 years. Ideal for babies and children who have not yet got their side and rear teeth. The safety shield is included and will stop your baby from choking

Materials
– Soft Silicone bristles. Made of 100% medical and food grade silicone and is BPA & PVC Free.

Directions
– Before use attach the safety shield to the toothbrush, pass the toothbrush head through the center hole on the shield (you’ll need to stretch it). The shield should rest just below the bristles.
– Wash your hands! Rinse toothbrush thoroughly before and after each use, especially the bristles. Periodically, sterilize in boiling water.
– Always check your baby/child’s toothbrush and remove any loose bristles before each use. This is easy to do when rinsing/cleaning in preparation for use.
– Apply a small amount of Jack N’ Jill Natural Toothpaste to bristles and brush teeth with a gentle, circular motion.
– Jack N’ Jill Silicone Toothbrush products are unique because they are one solid piece of medical grade silicone–right down to the bristles. The brush is designed to be used as a ‘toothbrush’ not a ‘teether’ and chewing should be avoided.  This can however be difficult to avoid with young babies and children and therefore recommend supervision at all times. If the Silicone Toothbrush is chewed the bristles may come off, but not to worry. Jack N’ Jill Silicone Toothbrushes are made of inert medical grade silicone which is non-toxic, and if swallowed, can pass through the digestive system without any problems.
– To make sure that minimum pressure is used, it’s best for the parent or guardian to brush the child’s teeth with this toothbrush.
– Replace every 8 weeks or earlier.
– Replace after illness.
– Replace if silicone is torn.
– Only to be used under adult supervision.
– Do Not Chew! Not a teether!

Toothbrush Care & Handling
– Rinse off bristles under water before and after brushing. Run your thumb backwards and forwards across the bristles to clean effectively.
– Shake off excess water.
– Store upright in a Bathroom cup to allow bristles to air-dry.
– For general hygiene, store toothbrush as far away from toilet area as possible.

Sterilizing The Toothbrush
Plaque, as well as the interior of the mouth, contains many micro-organisms. Inevitably, these micro-organisms become trapped between the bristles of your toothbrush. Because your toothbrush is often in a moist environment, bacterial growth can flourish. That’s why it’s imperative to keep your toothbrush clean and to sterilize it regularly.
– We recommend replacing toothbrushes every 8 weeks and after illness.
– Rinse bristles as above.
– Shake off excess water.
– Place toothbrush in bathroom cup, head down.
– Pour in enough hydrogen peroxide 3% (widely available from pharmacies) to cover head & bristles.
– Leave for 10 minutes.
– Rinse bristles under tap.
– Shake off excess water and store in a washed cup as above.
– Sterilize once weekly.
